Children’s Program
Thousands of children in Marin do not have the basic clothing necessary to be successful in school or daily life.
We provide them with stylish and kid-friendly wardrobes, allowing them to get on with the work and play of being a child.
Research shows that providing this clothing improves academic performance, school attendance and peer relations. Parents report financial relief and new peace of mind.
Women’s Program
Bloom provides a positive and personalized shopping experience for women struggling to overcome major challenges in their lives.
In addition to a two-week wardrobe, clients leave Bloom with a new sense of dignity, confidence and hope,as they pursue interviews, job training and new employment.
Wardrobes are designed to meet professional and daily life needs, and include undergarments, shoes and accessories.
Men’s Program
The Men’s Program is a vital and ever-growing aspect of Bloom.
The right clothing for an upcoming interview or new job removes barriers to self-sufficiency and keeps families intact. A two-week wardrobe tailored to each individual's needs is provided, whether overalls and work boots, or suits and ties. The new sense of self-worth and hope our men experience is transformational.
DONATION
Bloom, a program of YWCA Golden Gate Silicon Valley, provides complimentary wardrobes to children, women, and men who are transitioning to a life of self-reliance.
Your donation towards the Bloom program, will be reserved towards running the Bloom dressing program for families we serve.
